The Bungalows at Jonesboro is seeking a Concierge/Driver to join their team!
Shift details:
Monday- Friday; one weekend a month
Concierge
The Concierge is often the initial contact and first impression that many people have of Phoenix Senior Living. The Concierge is responsible for greeting potential residents, families, visitors, managing both external and internal calls, taking and communicating messages. The Concierge provides an overview of community information to those inquiries in support of the Community Engagement Director and Executive Director in the marketing and sales efforts. Other responsibilities include assisting the Associate Director /HR Designee in the community recruitment process, computer data entry and other assigned general administrative duties as well as monitoring the Bistro area for refreshments, cleanliness, music and ensuring a pleasant atmosphere.
Driver
The Driver is responsible for safely transporting residents to their activities and appointments.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Concierge
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
- Oversees the community entry area for visitors, guest and residents, extends a warm welcome and greeting, offers and provides beverages to visitors and guest
- Contacts the Community Engagement Director and Executive Director or Department Director to meet with prospective residents, families or visitors and ensures wait times are minimal
- Greets potential candidates interested in learning more about Phoenix careers and job openings at the community. Director candidates to apply online or captures the candidate’s information onsite to launch the recruitment process
- Answers incoming calls and resident calls within two – three (2 – 3) rings with the appropriate community greeting message and identification
- Tales complete messages with pertinent information (name, number, message, time, date) as appropriate and communicates messages to the intended recipient
- Offers and provides a community overview to the caller, determines who to forward the caller to and notifies the caller who they are being transferred to and announce the caller to the community associate
- Manages appointments for residents and family members such as but not limited to hair dresser, transportation, other
- Sends get well cards to residents in the community (obtain community leaders signatures before delivering card)
- Sends sympathy cards to families and/ or responsible parties as needed (obtain community leaders signatures before delivering card)
Driver
- Daily safety checks of the vehicle.
- Reporting immediately to the Executive Director any problems related to the vehicle, routing or scheduling.
- Reporting immediately to the Program and Outreach Director any problems observed or encountered while transporting participants.
- Safe assistance and transportation of participants.
- Responsible handling of participant’s personal belongings and family communications which must be conveyed from the participant’s residence to the Center.
- Maintaining good rapport with family caregivers and participants.
- Daily cleaning of the interior of the vehicle.
- Daily “gas-up” and weekly fluid check of the vehicle.
- Assist with emergency evacuation of participants if inclement weather (e.g. a hurricane) is threatened or if there is a power failure or other reason that the Center must close during program hours.
- Coordinate driver emergencies in route with emergency assistance.
- Patience and tact necessary for contact with residents.
- Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.

Requirements

- Is proficient in time management skills and adherence to deadlines
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours, available for our customers at peak service delivery days and times
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license such as CDL (commercial driver’s license), Chauffer license with acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation
- Has proficient grammar and documentation skills
- Understands basic concepts of risk management
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATION
Concierge
- Education: High School Diploma/ GED required
- Proven customer service experience and skills
- Knowledge and experience in the Senior Living Industry preferred
