As the Concrete Finishing Foreman at Steed Industries, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of concrete finishing activities at job sites. Your leadership will ensure that projects are executed effectively, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with your team to foster a supportive and collaborative environment, emphasizing teamwork and innovation. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and coordinate the work of concrete finishing crews to achieve project goals and timelines. 

• Project Coordination: Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring all activities comply with project specifications and regulations. 

• Quality Control: Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure all concrete finishes meet desired aesthetics and functional standards. 

• Safety Leadership: Enforce safety regulations and best practices on-site, conducting regular safety training and inspections to promote a culture of safety. 

• Resource Management: Manage materials and equipment efficiently, ensuring optimal use and timely procurement for finishing tasks. 

• Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, liaising with project managers and other stakeholders to mitigate delays effectively. 

• Client Liaison: Communicate regularly with clients regarding project status, concerns, and resolution of issues as they arise. 

• Problem Solving: Identify and address construction-related challenges proactively, ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently. 

• Collaboration: Foster positive working relationships with team members, subcontractors, and other trades on-site. 

Qualifications  

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in concrete finishing is a plus. 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete finishing or similar roles, with supervisory experience preferred. 

• Strong understanding of concrete properties, finishing methods, and industry practices. 

• Proven ability to lead a team, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively under pressure. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative work environment. 

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications. 

• Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
