Concrete Laboratory Technician

Summary

Perform tests on concrete and masonry for quality control / quality assurance, as well as provide routine maintenance for equipment used for testing. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Testing of samples in accordance with appropriate test standards, and documentation of results
• Ensure that lab and field equipment receive periodic, routine calibrations, are maintained properly and always in good working condition
• Assist Laboratory Supervisor with inspections of laboratory with accrediting body
• Perform site visits on occasion

Qualifications and Skills

• A high school diploma is required. An associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory
• Experience with laboratory testing of construction materials is desirable
• Must have the ability to comprehend test standards, practices and specifications, and use spreadsheet software to analyze data
• Must have the ability to obtain industry certifications with full support from CME
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly

Compensation: $20 - 24 / hour
