Concrete Laborer

Job Summary

Responsible for performing highway concrete repair and maintenance activities, including concrete forming, finishing, repair work, and general labor duties. The role involves operating equipment, using hand and power tools, maintaining safety standards, and supporting roadway maintenance projects while complying with all applicable regulations and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete forming, finishing, and repair work.
• Conduct highway concrete maintenance and repair activities.
• Operate equipment such as wheel loaders and skid steers.
• Use shovels, weed trimmers, brooms, and various hand tools.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain required safety equipment.
• Support roadway maintenance projects as assigned.
• Utilize smartphones and applications for work-related tasks.
• Work under varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Adapt to changing work schedules, including occasional night shifts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of concrete forming, finishing, and repair experience.
• Experience using hand tools and maintenance equipment.
• Experience operating wheel loaders, skid steers, or similar equipment.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
• Knowledge of local driving regulations.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to use smartphones and related applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in various environmental and weather conditions.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Roadway maintenance experience.
• Air compressor operation experience.
• Guardrail and sign installation experience.
• MOT (Traffic Control) Certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
