Concrete Paving Manager

Overview:
The Walsh Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a

Concrete Paving Manager .

This position is an integral part of our Project Operations Management Teams and is directly responsible for supporting our concrete paving efforts. This position works closely with Company Managers to ensure that projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and contractual requirements. This position would office in the Midwest. This individual would travel as required to projects in other regional offices.

Responsibilities:
Play an important role in the estimating approach and review of each concrete paving estimates.
Develop a schedule and work plan with the Project Management Teams.
Assist the Project Teams with execution as necessary of all things concrete paving and barrier wall related.
Evaluate with the Project Team concrete paving / barrier wall subcontractor proposals.
Assist the project team members in the project management, material procurement, equipment procurement, scheduling, and man power.
Provide overall support to the Project Team and operations personnel.
Participate in cost and production reviews for this work.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent work experience in concrete paving.
Proven work experience. A minimum of 10+

years of project experience in the construction industry with a minimum of 10 years' of concrete paving experience. Experience with roads, highways, and bridges is preferred.
Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively.
Ability to read and understand project specific documents including construction plans, specifications, and other pertinent project information.
Ability to understand and efficiently carry out instructions.
Ability to work well under pressure and within established timelines.
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively in person, on the phone, and by correspondence.
Ability to work with Management to resolve any issues that arise on a project.
Must have strong interpersonal skills developed to engage and retain positive working relationships.
Must have knowledge of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
Must be detail oriented and have a disciplined work ethic with strong organizational skills.
Heavy travel is required for this position
