At CK Manufacturing, we design and build high-quality dairy equipment for farms across the region, including solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and long-term performance. What You'll Do As a Concrete Technician:
Travel to dairy farms along the East Coast with a 14-ft enclosed trailer and patented traction milling equipment.
Utilize specialized machinery to assess and treat barn floors, creating a 360-degree textured surface that improves livestock footing in alleys, parlors, and holding pens.
Communicate the resurfacing process to farm owners and managers, answer questions, and provide maintenance tips.
Maintain detailed records, follow safety protocols, and ensure proper equipment care through basic maintenance and calibration.
Enjoy full-time work (around 50 hours/week) with 75% travel—home every weekend—and on-the-job training with real opportunities for growth.
Our Ideal Concrete Technician:
Experienced: A background in dairy or livestock farming with hands-on experience moving cattle and understanding livestock behavior. Understands the importance of floor traction for animal safety. Experience with heavy equipment, reading manuals or floor plans, and performing light mechanical repairs is a plus.
Trainable: Eager to learn and grow through paid, on-the-job training with real opportunities for learning and career development in agricultural safety and equipment operation.
Detail-oriented: Pays close attention to the quality and consistency of the milling texture without compromising floor integrity.
Self-motivated: Stays on task and productive without constant supervision, especially once training is complete.
Team Player: Works well with others, brings a humble attitude, and contributes to a positive work environment.
Problem-solver: Makes good decisions in the field and knows how to think through challenges as they arise.
Customer-focused Communicator: Able to explain the process clearly and respectfully when working with farmers and their teams.
Active: Must lift up to 80 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
What We Offer Our Concrete Technician:
$25-$28/hour – depending on experience
