About Lick Honest Ice Creams We're Lick Honest Ice Creams and have been producing the finest, locally sourced, seasonally inspired ice creams in Austin since 2011! We are rapidly expanding and looking for outgoing, happy, responsible, and positive individuals who love ice cream as much as we do to join our ice cream shop family!  Position Summary The role of the Cone Maker is to maintain the highest sanitary standards in the making of our beloved waffle cones. Our waffle cones are hand rolled and made by hand with our own recipe made with farm fresh local eggs. This position works outside of business hours, is typically independent, and reports to the Shop Manager. You will be measuring out ingredients to create our waffle cone batter, then cooking and rolling each cone by hand. Minimum Expectations Fully support the owners mission and integrity of the brand Maintain highest shop and kitchen sanitary and cleanliness levels Treat this position as a responsibility and be accountable for any and all actions, decisions made or direction given Treat this position as a priority and be excited to be at work Be self motivated and work efficiently Assume positive intent Take initiative State Food Handlers permit required   Duties and Responsibilities Maintain highest standards of cleanliness and order in storefront and kitchen Ensure all cone making shift procedures are being completed consistently and to the expected standards Be flexible and keep up with the weather and sales trends - be aware of stock levels and communicate needs to Shop Manager Prepare waffle batter with accuracy and care Able to apply batter to waffle cone irons and roll cones with a mandrel Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Lick Honest Ice Creams and what makes our ice cream unique, and share this knowledge with customers Identify any batter or product issues and communicate them to Shop Manager Perform all other related duties as requested Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the company Policies & Procedures manual   Essential Functions Maintain a flexible schedule based on shop needs Able to work independently Able to communicate clearly and professionally with team members (face to face or by telephone) Able to read and comprehend written material Able to stand for shifts lasting up to but not limited to 6 hours of time on concrete flooring Perform tasks which involve repetitive motion including, but not limited to, arms, hands, wrists, back Able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls Lift up to 50# of product
