What You’ll Be Doing

Whether you’re leading teams, creating experiences, or organizing behind the scenes, you’ll be making an eternal impact at BattleCreek Church! 

The Connections Minister role will plays a central role in helping people take their next step with Jesus by leading campus strategies that foster connection, spiritual growth, and service. This role oversees Community Groups, Outreach, and the ADVANCE Track to ensure that every guest feels welcomed, every attender is discipled, and every member is mobilized for ministry for God’s Kingdom. Through relational ministry and organizational leadership, the Connections Minister connects individuals to Christ, to the church, and to their God-given purpose. 

Your Day-to-Day 

Every day looks different, but here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be up to: 

• Establish and maintain intentional relationships to help people Know God. Find freedom.  

• Ensures the application and success of the ADVANCE track - Oversees the integration of people through attending to becoming a covenant member in a community group and into a place of service 

• Coordinates the campus Community Group ministry supporting Community Group Leaders and Hosts 

• Recruits, trains and equips Community Group Leaders 

• Connect new attenders and members to Community Groups 

• Plans and executes yearly & semester connection events 

• Perform other church duties as assigned by the Campus Pastor to help all people, of all ages, all the time, advance in their journey with Christ     

What We’re Looking For 

The must-haves for this role: 

• Education & Experience: We are looking for someone with Bachelor's Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience in ministry.  Having experience in a multi-site environment is an added plus! 

• Skills & Strengths:  If you love having an eternal impact and working together to further God’s plan for Gospel transformation, you’ll thrive here. We are looking for someone that has: 

• • Experience working in Ministry Platform, preferred 

• • Experience in Ministry and Life and Knowledgeable in Community Group/Discipleship ministries  

• • An attitude of teamwork, action, leadership, and positivity 

• • Strong attention to detail and effective project management skills 

• • Proficient ability to develop and maintain relationships 

• Faith & Culture Fit: You believe that God’s presence changes everything! You thrive in a fast-paced work environment, don’t like to be bored, and can adapt to change with a great attitude. You’re called to the world of ministry!  

The Essentials 

Depending on the role, you might be in an office, on stage, out in the community, or working behind the scenes. Some evening or weekend hours may be required—it’s ministry life! 

This role operates primarily in an office environment but may require some physical activity—standing, lifting [up to 20 pounds], kneeling, setting up equipment, or even the occasional late-night event prep. We’ll make sure you know what’s expected!
