Job Summary: Ensure constructability and quality control.


Responsibilities:



  • Serve as a trusted representative during the construction phase while balancing the interests of owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and other stake holders.

  • Attend project construction meetings representing MEP and FP disciplines. 

    • Provide written report of meeting notes.



  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct construction observation activities while directing discipline-specific specialists and engineers as required.

    • Must travel at times to meet with clients or go to project sites.





  • Review design documents for constructability and quality control.

    • Lead the design cost estimating development process.

    • Maintain and monitor construction administration logs including RFIs, submittals, change requests, proposal requests, pay applications, and other project controls documentation.




Qualifications and Experience:



  • BS degree in an engineering or construction related field preferred

  • 5+ years related experience in project construction management or installation of MEP/FP systems.

  • Proven experience with projects ranging from $500,000 to $150 million.

  • Experience working with institutional clients: state agencies, colleges and universities, public sector organizations, campus and government facilities, private laboratories, and manufacturing facilities.

  • Experience in new building construction and renovations of existing facilities, including occupied facilities.

  • Certified Construction Manager, CCM, or equivalent preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Supervisory capabilities.

  • Excellent customer service capabilities.

  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per week in order to meet project and task deadlines.

  • Ability to drive to project sites and perform reviews of MEP and FP systems.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Able to work in the United States.

  • Process correspondence efficiently, accurately, and confidentially.

  • Works independently in a team environment to complete tasks from start to finish with little to no input from Supervisor.

  • Capable of conducting client meetings without Supervisor.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Newforma.
