Davenergy Solutions is currently seeking a full-time Construction Manager / Construction Administrator (CM-CA) professional to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades project at the Hampton VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Hampton, VA.

This support is required to provide construction management and construction administration services for ongoing EHRM-related engineering and construction activities at the Hampton VA Healthcare System. 


Requirements

  • Ability to quickly understand and apply local, state, and federal requirements as they relate to VA construction projects.
  • Strong communication, language, and technical skills with the ability to utilize VA and industry software systems (including construction management and project tracking systems such as TRIRIGA).
  • Working knowledge of construction practices with the ability to support Quality Assurance (QA), Safety, Schedule, Cost, Change, and Information Management.
  • Familiarity with General Contractor and Subcontractor site operations within an occupied medical facility.
  • Experience monitoring construction activities for quality assurance and compliance with contract documents, VA standards, and codes.
  • Ability to prepare, analyze, and identify deficiencies, discrepancies, and non-conforming work relative to contract requirements.
  • Experience maintaining project documentation including daily logs, inspection reports, schedules, correspondence, RFIs, submittals, and change documentation.
  • Ability to support progress meetings, contractor pay application reviews, issue tracking, and closeout activities.
  • Willingness to work onsite up to 40 hours per week, with potential for nights or weekend work as required by the project.
  • U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain a VA background clearance (NACI) and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card.

Relevant Experience

  • Experience providing onsite construction administration or construction management support for healthcare, institutional, commercial, or federally funded construction projects.
  • Experience supporting projects involving multiple trades and disciplines with responsibilities related to field coordination, documentation, and administrative oversight.
  • Experience conducting daily field inspections and preparing clear, accurate daily logs, weekly reports, and safety documentation.
  • Experience assisting with submittal reviews, RFIs, schedule updates, claims support, deficiency tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Experience monitoring construction schedules, budgets, and work progress against contract requirements.
  • Familiarity with commissioning support, testing coordination, and project closeout documentation is a plus.
  • Prior VA, DOD, or other federal project experience is strongly preferred.

Education

  •  A degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or demonstrated construction experience or technical knowledge to compensate for the absence of higher education.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of construction-related field experience is required and will be reviewed for suitability.
