Position: Construction & Design Associate

Overview:

Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking an Associate with 2-3 years of construction law, litigation, or government contracting experience to join its Construction & Design Practice Group in Seattle. The group represents public and private owners, general contractors, and engineers across a wide range of projects, providing counsel from pre-project planning and risk assessment through contract drafting, claims management, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on construction and design-related legal issues across diverse projects

• Draft, negotiate, and manage complex construction and engineering contracts

• Handle claims management, risk mitigation, and dispute preservation

• Represent clients in litigation and dispute resolution proceedings

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school

• 2-3 years of experience in construction law, litigation, or government contracting

• Washington Bar admission required

• Strong drafting, communication, and analytical skills
