Pay: $155,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year

Location: This is an on-site role based in Tampa, Florida, offering the opportunity to work closely with a strong local team in one of Florida's most active construction and business markets.

Note: Candidates must be active members of the Florida Bar and must have 4+ years of construction law, construction litigation, or construction-focused commercial litigation experience at a law firm.

Job Description

  • Support partners and counsel on construction litigation, commercial litigation, contract, licensing, and advisory matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, contracts, and client correspondence
  • Conduct legal research involving case law, statutes, administrative regulations, public records, court dockets, DOAH records, and construction industry standards and codes
  • Handle discovery, deposition preparation, client communications, opposing counsel communications, and trial support
  • Manage deadlines, multiple matters, and competing priorities with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and clients on construction industry disputes and legal strategy

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar license required
  • 4+ years of construction law, construction litigation, or construction-focused commercial litigation experience required
  • Law firm experience required
  • Strong litigation, drafting, research, and oral advocacy skills required
  • Experience with pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and trial support required
  • Construction contract drafting, licensing, DOAH, public records, and industry standards/code research experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters in a collaborative environment

Salary Bands (Only if attorney role):

  • 3-4 years directly relevant construction law experience: $150,000 to $165,000

  • 4-5 years directly relevant construction law experience: $160,000 to $180,000

  • 5-6 years directly relevant construction law experience: $165,000 to $190,000

  • 6+ years directly relevant construction law experience: $180,000 to $200,000+, depending on fit and seniority
