Job Description - Construction Attorney

Pay: $160,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year

Location: Atlanta, GA. This is a hybrid opportunity with regular in-office attendance required. Attorneys may select one consistent day each week to work remotely, subject to our remote work policy and occasional business needs.

Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Georgia and have 3+ years of actual construction law experience. General insurance defense or in-house experience alone will not qualify unless it includes significant, directly relevant construction law work. Attorneys coming from solo practice may be considered when construction law has been a primary focus of their practice.

Job Description

  • Represent construction industry clients in sophisticated construction-related legal matters.
  • Handle construction disputes, claims, litigation, mediation, arbitration, and other forms of dispute resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Analyze construction contracts, project documentation, claims, and complex factual records.
  • Advise owners, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, manufacturers, sureties, and other industry participants.
  • Provide practical legal counseling designed to help clients manage risk and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct legal research and develop strategies for construction-related disputes and business matters.
  • Work closely with clients and senior attorneys while taking meaningful ownership of assigned matters.
  • Support matters involving both public and private construction projects.

Qualifications

  • Active Georgia Bar license required.
  • 3+ years of directly relevant construction law experience required.
  • Strong construction litigation, construction claims, construction contracts, or construction dispute experience.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage substantive matters while providing responsive, practical client service.
  • Solo practitioners may qualify if their practice is primarily focused on construction law.
  • More senior attorneys with strong construction law backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
