We are looking to provide employment for students participating in a co-op High School program. On the job training will be provided through mentorship on our various projects located in DE, PA, MD, and NJ. This is a great way to enter the workforce and gain experience needed to be successful in the carpentry industry. This includes the potential for continued employment after the co-op program ends!

Job Summary:

The Co-op Student will work under the supervision of a lead installer to perform a variety of tasks. Projects are interior jobs including ceilings, bathroom partitions, blinds, and more. Which means the work is INDOORS and available YEAR-ROUND! The role involves working with wood, hand tools, and power tools to assist in the construction and installation of various products and finishes.

Job Duties:

• Loading and unloading trucks at job sites
• Staging material on job sites
• Assisting the Lead Carpenter as directed
• Assist with site preparation and cleanup, including moving materials and debris
• Installation of various products such as: suspended ceiling systems, window treatments, restroom partitions and Division 10 specialties.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate safety gear, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 17 years or older.
• Must be accepted in a Co-op program if selected.
• Must have own reliable transportation to various job sites located in DE, PA, MD, and NJ.
• Must have own basic hand tools and basic PPE (steel toed boots, work pants/jeans).
• Must be committed to safety and quality at all times.
• Ability to conduct highly physical work.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work with heights.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
