Construction Engineer

Description

• Willing to get your hands dirty. We are looking for a WORKING Field Supervisor that can help the field from time to time.
• Experienced Foreman’s, Electricians, any Construction type of work are encouraged to apply!
• Bachelor's degree in civil or electrical engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred but not required
• Ability to Travel out of state 100% of the time for projects-- ROAD WARRIOR (Midwest Region such as: IL, OH, IN, MI, WI, KY)
• Able to climb ladders and assist with the use of construction equipment
• Be able to lift 50 lbs. of equipment/materials
• Able to work some weekends during deadline

• Involved in daily activities in the field with no hesitation doing partial labor work
• Assist with site walks & field walks
• Travel around the Midwest to support multiple constructions crews/sites
• Support and help Foreman’s, Technicians, and/or Subcontractors
• Communicating with manager on current and pending status of jobs.
• Request Quotes and order materials from various vendors for materials and services
• Attend Conference Calls and participate in Project meetings
• Create daily and weekly schedules to support the management team
• Coordinating the final inspections of jobs as required.
• Requesting COIs and surety bonds for permits and business licenses
• Arranging for construction testing and engineering services if necessary.
• Climb ladders over 30 feet on rooftops, water tanks, and buildings using a safety harness
• Ensure job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
• Monitor and assist with field productivity, cost control, and scheduling
• Performs other duties as assigned
