Job Description - Construction Estimator

Labor Finders of Austell is seeking an experienced construction estimator. In this role, you will calculate the costs of construction projects before their start. Your responsibilities will include assessing blueprints, specifications, materials, and labor in order to determine the total cost. This position will involve gathering information, analyzing data, and preparing detailed cost reports for clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Labor Cost Estimation: Estimate labor costs required for the project.
Budget Preparation: Develop and manage project budgets.
Proposal Development: Create written proposals and cost estimates.
Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks that may affect project costs.
Cost Tracking: Monitor project expenses and progress, identifying potential cost savings.
Communication: Communicate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Cost Analysis: Thoroughly analyze construction costs for new and existing projects.
Material Takeoff: Create a detailed list of all materials needed for the project.
Quote Gathering: Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

Skills:

Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in math is essential for calculations and cost analysis.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate estimates and budgets to clients and stakeholders.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with estimating software and other relevant tools.
Attention to Detail: Accurate and detailed cost analysis requires a keen eye for detail.
Knowledge of Construction Processes: Understanding of various construction processes and practices is essential.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are crucial for assessing data and making accurate cost predictions.
