Construction Estimator

We are looking for a Construction Estimator to support asphalt paving and site work projects. This role is responsible for analyzing project plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the bidding process for commercial and municipal construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience estimating asphalt paving, grading, and roadway work while collaborating with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates

• Quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements for asphalt paving and site work projects

• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers

• Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages for commercial and municipal projects

• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure estimates align with field capabilities

• Identify potential cost risks, schedule considerations, and value engineering opportunities

• Maintain organized documentation for bids, takeoffs, and supporting project information

• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and internal bid review discussions

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating

• Experience estimating asphalt paving, road construction, or site development projects preferred

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail

• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel

• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
