We’re a rapidly growing team in the Silicon Valley construction space located in Campbell, California. We have a 30-year legacy in construction and our sole focus is on making a positive impact on the California housing crisis. 

At Acton, we design, navigate, and build accessory dwelling units (ADUs), also known as backyard homes. These ADUs help create accessible housing options for thousands of homeowners across the Bay Area, while positively impacting people’s lives.

Who are you?

You’re an aspiring apprentice carpenter. You’ve got some experience in construction - or maybe not.  You’re a hard worker and you want to better yourself by learning the trade.  You work hard and smart and take pride in your craftsmanship and in the results of your work.  You recognize problems and come up with ideas to fix them.

But more than anything you’re looking for a home and a team for many years to come. A team that will invest in you as much as you invest in them.

The Role:

A successful Acton ADU Construction Laborer  works closely with Acton ADU Job Lead and Carpenters to provide whatever labor help is needed to build quality structures, make customers happy, and keep job sites clean.

Skill requirements:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 100 pounds 


• Driver’s license and good driving record. 

Responsibilities:

1. Labor: You are responsible for performing any labor and errands required by the Job Lead or carpenters, including:  trenching, digging, grading, demolition, cleanup, loading and unloading of materials, and errands with company trucks.


2. JOBSITE MAINTENANCE: Maintain a clean, safe work site at all times. Assure that the jobsite is safe and secure for homeowners and the public at the end of each day.  Protect the client’s property from dirt and damage according to company standards. 


3. SCHEDULING: Know where and when you will be working prior to the start of each day and be prepared for that task and conditions.


4. “Paper” Work: You are required to fill out your electronic time card before leaving the job site each day, and to be prepared for whatever task you’ll be performing next day.
