Construction Laborer

Raineri Construction is seeking professional Commercial Construction Laborers to join our growing team. (Experienced Only)

This job pays a wage range of $20 to $30 per hour, based on verified experience.

Construction Laborers are responsible for preparing and maintaining sites by cleaning, removing debris, and organizing material in order to ensure that construction work can take place.  They may operate and maintain various machines, load and unload frequently heavy materials, assist in construction work, and take direction from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen.   

Essential activities may include, but are not limited to:

• Prep sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards. 

• Demolition and material removal. 

• Put together and take apart temporary structures. 

• Remove, fill or compact earth. 

• Load or unload materials. 

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed by management. 

• Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches. 

• Shovel materials to and from construction areas. 

• Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately.  

• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis. 

• Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.

• Regular, reliable, and prompt attendance 

• Attention to detail 

Qualifications:

• GED/High School Diploma  

• Valid Driver’s License 

• Current or recent experience working in the Construction Industry  

• Completed, or will complete within 60 days, the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Course 

Physical Requirements:

• Able to operate in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner at all times 

• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions 

• Able to arrive on time to start shift as scheduled  

• Able to traverse uneven walking/working surfaces at jobsites 

• Able to climb ladders up to 30 feet in height at jobsites 

• Able to climb stairs at jobsites 

• Able to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks 

• Able to wear all required personal protective equipment as necessary
