Full-time on-site at the Amtrak's Frederick Douglass Tunnel site. Starting in May 2025, thru March 2026 with 2-year extensions thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Compliance:
Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Inspect mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems to verify proper installation and functionality.
Identify and document any deviations from approved plans and specifications, and recommend corrective actions.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
Perform tests and inspections on materials and equipment to ensure they meet required standards.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other relevant documentation.
Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding inspection results and project status.
Coordination and Support:
Collaborate with project teams to resolve construction issues and ensure timely project completion.
Provide technical support and guidance to contractors and construction personnel.
Participate in project meetings and provide input on construction methods, materials, and schedules.
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
Compensation: $42.00 - $90.00 per hour
