Construction Management Representative

“Trail Improvements at Barataria Preserve” at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve.

Summary of Work:

• Demolition of the existing boardwalks for the Education Center Trail, Bayou Coquille Trail, Marsh Overlook Trail, Visitors Center Trail, and Palmetto Trail.
• Installation of proposed boardwalks at the Education Center Trail, Bayou Coquille Trail, and Marsh Overlook Trail.
• Raising of the existing hardened trails at Bayou Coquille Trail.
• Installation of ancillary components and site furnishings.

Qualification/Tasks: 

• The CMR shall be knowledgeable in top-down construction, carpentry, pile driving, concrete, electrical, and general construction practices, including applicable industry standards, regulations and codes. 
• The CMR should also be knowledgeable with cost breakdown estimating, cost negotiation, and technical writing so the CMR is able to assist the COR with related tasks as requested.
• OSHA 30
• Individuals shall have expert computer operating skills to be able to create and manipulate Microsoft Project, Primavera or equivalent schedules and be proficient in a variety of well-known programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Candidates with a Construction Management Degree, Engineering Degree, and/or 10 years’ relevant experience will be rated more favorably.
• CMR/PM prior experience working with Federal Government Project Managers/CORs on processing change requests, requests for information, submittals, field observation reports, and developing Independent Government Estimates (IGE).

2. Boardwalk Construction 
3. Pile installation 
4. Framing 
5. Carpentry 
6. Knowledge and experience with ecologically sensitive projects including working in wetlands and erosion and sedimentation controls.
