Job Description - Construction Management Representative - Infrastructure and Roadway


Join our team as a Construction Management Representative (CMR) supporting the National Park Service (NPS) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) on a major roadway reconstruction project along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This position plays a critical role in ensuring quality assurance, compliance, and coordination during repairs caused by Hurricane Helene.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the on-site liaison for NPS and FHWA Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division.
  • Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with contract plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports, weekly progress summaries, and maintain photographic documentation.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and assist the COR with technical recommendations and correspondence.
  • Attend and document progress meetings; provide agendas and minutes.
  • Maintain an active deficiency/punch list and assist with project closeout documentation.
  • Support schedule reviews, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates as requested.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of roadway or infrastructure construction management experience.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification required.
  • Familiarity with FHWA specifications, reinforced soil slope (RSS) practices, and paving standards.
  • Experienced and proficient in ProjectTeam Construction Management Software.
  • Proficient in P6 scheduling and how to review schedules for anomalies. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to chair weekly meetings.
  • Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check.
  • Government contracting experience. (Preferred).
