A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and gets children back in school. The position is full-time and is responsible for overseeing and implementing the scopes of work in the recovery phase, managing construction subcontractors. Please note that this is a U.S. based position.

Essential Functions
Develop and monitor scopes of work and project queue, budget, timeline, and quality control
Assess and source contractors for the scope of work, manage their hiring, oversee their tasks, and ensure that work is completed efficiently meeting both compliance and quality standards.
Conduct Quality Control inspections at each worksite to verify that subcontractors adhere to established quality standards for all tasks.
Track all responsibilities (e.g. tack assessments, work progress, budget timelines, quality control) updating the necessary tracking systems. e.g. Salesforce, MS Project
Establish assessment criteria and perform assessments to establish scopes of work and Material estimates
Call homeowners to walk through our Homeowner Prioritization Process
Schedule work dates with homeowners leading up to work on sites, and conduct follow up calls to capture feedback and satisfaction level of work completed
Ensure compliance with legal, donor, and safety requirements for projects
Liaise with internal and external partners to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Work with local partners to foster collaboration.
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
Support the hiring process for Associate Construction Managers by participating in interviews and providing feedback to ensure candidates meet technical and operational needs.
Effectively onboard and manage Associate Construction Managers to meet the needs of the affected community and the grant requirements, and support them to carry out their roles effectively and efficiently.
Financial Responsibilities include the operating budget for the associated department
Perform other duties as required.
Position Requirements
Education Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Architect or civil engineer degree preferred.
Related Experience Previous All Hands and Hearts experience preferred. Previous experience in a disaster response setting is preferred. Must have project management experience, as well as supervisory experience. Must have technical experience in construction management and experience managing subcontractors.
Special Competencies/Certifications Good written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets; and Microsoft Office. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Typical starting salary is $18.00-$20.00/ hour., and up to $22.00/ hour for highly qualified candidates who have previous experience in this role.
