Overview of the Role:

As a Construction Manager, you'll serve as the crucial bridge between field operations and project management, ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge solar energy infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead diverse teams, manage complex construction operations, and contribute to America's clean energy transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the field-level quarterback for construction projects, coordinating between contractors and project management
• Manage preconstruction activities including contract document review, safety plan implementation, and kickoff meetings
• Oversee construction operations ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and environmental compliance
• Lead and coordinate NextEra teams including environmental specialists, safety personnel, and subject matter experts
• Generate accurate project reports and documentation for executive leadership
• Manage contractor relationships and ensure zero-injury project completion
• Coordinate material delivery schedules and resolve construction challenges
• Implement and monitor quality assurance/quality control processes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of construction management experience, preferably in energy/utility projects
• Strong knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA regulations
• Experience with project scheduling software (P6, MS Project)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of environmental compliance requirements (SWPPP, permits)
• Experience managing multiple contractors and subcontractors
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
