Currently, they are seeking a Construction Manager to support a major mission critical initiative to join their team in the Columbus, Ohio area.

About the Position

The company is hiring an experienced Construction Manager with a focus on utility-level substations to lead on-site construction efforts for high-impact projects in NE Ohio and Central Ohio (CMH). The anticipated engagement duration is approximately 24 months, with daily onsite presence required. Candidates must be local to the Columbus, OH area and willing to travel regularly between project sites.

The successful candidate will manage field operations, ensure safety and quality standards are upheld, and serve as the key liaison between contractors, project stakeholders, and design teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in construction management, preferably in the utility or energy sector

• Direct experience with utility-scale substation construction is required

• Prior involvement in data center or mission critical environments is strongly preferred

• Proven ability to manage field teams, enforce safety compliance, and maintain construction schedules

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Must be local to Columbus, OH, and able to work onsite daily, with frequent travel between NE Ohio and CMH
