Construction Mechanic

Description

· Report to shop or job promptly, in uniform, in time to be at job by 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

· Follow written or verbal instruction on equipment, piping, ductwork and any other instruction given by supervisors.

· Coordinate work with general contractors, carpenters, electricians, and plumbers.

· Take proper precautions to protect customer and company property with due regard for safety.

· Anticipate needs of job and use time and material efficiently.

· Pursue work assignments in an orderly manner employing proper techniques, good judgment, cleanliness, accurate records and pride in workmanship.

· Handle job site decisions and customer relations positively and refer major decisions to the office.

· Responsible for turning in list of materials used at job each day unless directed otherwise.

· Measure, fabricate, and install Sheet Metal Duct.

· Measure, fabricate, and install fiberglass.

· Select and install control wiring.

· Finish jobs on time (85% of all jobs).

· Balance equipment for proper operation.

· Perform other duties as assigned.
