Construction Operations Manager

A well-established construction and civil engineering company in Malta is seeking an experienced and strategic Construction Operations Manager to oversee all operational aspects of ongoing projects. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards while aligning with the companys overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple construction sites to ensure efficiency and compliance with project timelines, budgets, and safety regulations.

• Lead project planning, resource allocation, and performance management across teams.

• Collaborate closely with site supervisors, project managers, and engineers to ensure seamless execution of works.

• Monitor KPIs and ensure consistent implementation of operational policies and procedures.

• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and drive a culture of safety across all sites.

• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve productivity and performance.

• Liaise with senior management on strategic planning, forecasting, and business development opportunities.

• Support recruitment, training, and development of site and operations staff.

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and reporting on financial performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior construction management or operations role.

• Strong background in civil engineering or general construction.

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• In-depth knowledge of construction operations, contract management, and site logistics.

• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficiency in construction management software and reporting tools.

• Fluent in English; Maltese is an asset.

• Strong understanding of Maltese building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
