As a Construction Project Engineer, you’ll drive quality, accuracy, and accountability on critical construction initiatives. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Quality Assurance:
Review quality assurance work for technical completeness, accuracy, and provide expert guidance on plans, specifications, and applicable code interpretation.

  • Schedule and Methodology Evaluation:

  • Comprehensive Project Documentation:
Document and review principal construction features, requirements, submittals, shop drawings, and more. Maintain real-time awareness of contractor activities to proactively address and avoid government-caused construction delays.

  • Change Management:

  • Contract Administration Consulting:
Advise government personnel on construction contract administration, acquisition management, and federal construction regulations. Review and make recommendations on design/specification changes to accommodate site conditions or expedite schedules.

  • Stakeholder Communication:
Prepare clear, concise briefing materials for stakeholders and deliver status updates as needed.

  • BCOES and Field Reviews:
Perform BCOES (Biddability, Constructability, Operability, Environmental & Sustainability) and plan-in-hand reviews to ensure all plans are executable and compliant.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in an engineering or architecture discipline with at least 7 years related experience, or 10 years of successful construction project management

  • Advanced understanding of construction methods, technical documentation, and government contract administration

  • Adept at interpreting codes, specifications, and federal acquisition regulations

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and advise on complex, high-stakes federal projects

Why LRS Federal?
You'll join a team that values technical excellence, mission-driven service, and a culture sharpened by veteran leadership. Our work has real impact, supporting projects of national significance in a collaborative, supportive environment.
