Project Manager plans all phases of commercial construction projects in a timely and cost -effective manner, including risk management, quality and safety. The position is responsible for estimating, budgeting, organizing, scheduling and implementing all assigned projects.
Work Environment:
- This is a full -time position
- Standard hours will fall within Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with some flexibility depending on business needs.
- The role varies based on project needs – on average is based 50% in office and 50% on -site of the construction project
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee construction projects from conception to completion. Responsible for safety, project planning, estimating and budgeting
- Collaborate with the owner, architect, and construction team
- Review the project in -depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
- Other duties as assigned
