Construction Project Manager (Owner's Representative)

Are you looking to move from the general contractor side into an owner's representative role where you'll have direct influence over the successful delivery of new construction projects?

An established real estate development company is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support the development of new senior living communities throughout the Midwest. This position offers the opportunity to work directly for the owner, coordinating construction activities, FF&E installations, technology packages, vendor management, and project turnover while partnering closely with general contractors and development leadership.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial construction experience who enjoys field coordination, problem solving, and seeing projects through from design to community opening.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate owner-purchased and owner-furnished equipment including FF&E, appliances, technology, signage, and vendor-direct scopes.


• Serve as the owner's field representative during construction and community openings.


• Coordinate deliveries, installations, and vendor schedules alongside the general contractor.


• Monitor construction progress through regular site visits and provide updates to development leadership.


• Participate in OAC meetings, design coordination, and preconstruction planning.


• Track schedules, identify risks, and help resolve field issues between contractors, consultants, and ownership.


• Coordinate project closeout documentation including warranties, manuals, and as-built information.


• Support operational teams during community openings and transition projects into successful occupancy.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of construction, project engineering, project coordination, or project management experience.


• Experience supporting ground-up commercial construction projects.


• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.


• Strong organizational and communication skills.


• Comfortable working on active construction sites.


• Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the Midwest (primarily Ohio approximately one week per month).

Preferred Qualifications

• Owner's representative experience.


• Senior living, hospitality, multifamily, healthcare, or similar commercial project experience.


• FF&E procurement and installation experience.


• Microsoft Project scheduling experience.


• Experience coordinating multiple vendors and project stakeholders.
