THE OPPORTUNITY
A fast-growing specialty construction company is looking for a hands-on Construction Project Manager to join its expanding Southern California team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys having ownership of their projects and is particularly strong at juggling a high volume of smaller projects at different stages of construction. While the portfolio will occasionally include larger projects, success in this position will require someone who can keep numerous moving pieces organized, communicate exceptionally well and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Once a project is under contract, the Construction Project Manager will take ownership of the construction process through final completion, working closely with the company's Project Management, Estimating and field teams and serving as a key point of contact for customers, general contractors and other project partners.
The ideal candidate comes from a specialty subcontractor environment and understands the coordination, documentation and attention to detail required to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects. Experience with DSA, public works or other projects involving significant documentation, inspections, and compliance is particularly valuable.
This person will also work closely alongside one of the company's senior project management leaders in Long Beach, providing strong mentorship and exposure to both project management and the broader Southern California operation as the company continues to grow.

COMPENSATION
Base Salary: $80,000
In addition to base salary, this position offers an uncapped quarterly performance incentive equal to 2% of gross profit generated by the Southern California in-house construction team.
Based on the company's current growth projections and anticipated project volume, total annual compensation is projected at approximately $140,000, with additional upside as the Southern California operation continues to grow.
Actual incentive compensation will vary based on the financial performance of the construction portfolio and is not guaranteed.
LOCATION & SCHEDULE
This position will be based out of the company's Long Beach office Tuesday through Thursday, working in person alongside senior project management leadership and members of the Southern California team.
The Long Beach location provides convenient access to projects throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside and the broader Southern California market. The role will require periodic travel for project meetings, preconstruction meetings and job walks as needed. Outside of those responsibilities, the majority of the position is office/project-management based.
GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT
This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing Southern California operation while working directly alongside one of the company's strongest project management leaders.
The person hired will have the opportunity to learn the company's approach to project management, gain exposure across a broad portfolio of work and take on increasing responsibility as they demonstrate their capabilities.
While there is not a predetermined next title attached to the position, the company has a strong philosophy of identifying high performers and elevating them as the business grows. As the Southern California team continues to expand, this position has the potential to develop into broader responsibility and future leadership opportunities.
