Construction Project Specialist

The RoleTesla is looking for a Construction Project specialist to support the Nevada Gigafactory. Our environment is fast-paced and incredibly exciting. You will manage purchasing orders, coordinate with internal Tesla Construction team and will be asked to work cross-functionally, interfacing with Procurement, Facilities, while supporting the tracking of project's schedule and budget.

ResponsibilitiesSupport of pre-construction tasks, including job acceptance, material quoting, and estimate building for the Construction Trades teamEstablish strong connections with Superintendents, Project Controls, and Global Supply Managers to ensure smooth coordination from furnishing to installationManage meetings, conference room logistics, and agendas for effective communication both internally and externallyDirect procurement processes, track materials, and ensure timely deliveries for critical deadlines in CSA, CSA-Tool Install, and Mechanical Construction TradesOnboard new vendors/suppliers, continuously seek cost savings, and explore innovative materials/tools to enhance field staff efficiencyMonitor project start-up tasks, handle estimating, presentations, Aconex work requests, and maintain project files and spreadsheetsPrioritize and manage workloads, troubleshoot issues, improve processes. Provide excellent customer service as the client interface for Tesla staff, vendors, and business partnersRequirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting facilities/infrastructure design processes and administrate tasksAbility to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced high stress environmentStrong interpersonal skills, able to develop channels of communication while understanding and managing professional relationshipsExcellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills are a mustHave an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and eagerness to continuously learn and take on tough problemsMinimum 2 years of Microsoft Excel experience, for scheduling, tracking and reportingExcellent communication skills, a hands-on approach, and a proactive attitude within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with tight timelines, demonstrating openness to new ideas and continuous learning to support Tesla's missionCompensation and BenefitsBenefits
