This opportunity entails being responsible for providing construction site field and office support duties during construction phases of projects. The Construction Rep applies construction engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assignments and assist the Resident Engineer in partnership with the project team. This position maintains project data, including drawings and specifications, performs materials testing and quality control inspections and prepares reports on construction progress. This position also would require completion of or assisting with final project reporting, closeout, and other administrative contract adherence requirements.

**What You'll Do:**

+ Performs office management engineer work when needed including but not limited to; prepares documentation for change orders, reviews change order scope of work, schedule and cost, processes and maintains tracking logs for RFIs, submittals, pay estimates, and other deliverables. Assists in constructability reviews.

+ Inspects, monitors, and oversees construction field work tasks and activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans and specifications. Reads, interprets, and confirms compliance with applicable contract documents.

+ Performs or oversees on-site material testing. Reviews plans and specifications to determine material requirements (quantities and qualities). Responsible for the tracking of item quantities and preparing pay estimates and ensures that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.

+ Initiates field changes to drawings and specifications and identifies discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.

+ Reviews contractor's daily construction reports for accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency.

+ Responsible for maintaining as-constructed drawings and monitors contractors progress to analyze against progress schedule.

+ Consults with Resident Engineer on work progress and construction problems, proactively recommends solutions, assists in the resolution of issues, and acts as a liaison with the engineer of record.

+ Remains current and knowledgeable of industry technology and tools used to perform inspection work through industry resources, training, and research. Gains exposure to new technology and utilizes it (GPS/Rovers) to increase efficiency and accuracy of inspection tasks.

+ Mentors and trains staff.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**What You'll Need:**

+ Associates degree in relevant field and 6 years relevant experience, or

+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field and 4 years relevant experience.

**What You'll Bring:**

+ Identifies and helps resolve issues with basic change conditions of a project contract with oversight from more experienced staff.

+ Develops working relationships with client staff and stakeholders.

+ Operates relevant testing equipment as needed for project quality assurance.

+ Understands Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and other computer software skills at an advanced level.

+ Understands document control for the project (i.e., materials documentation, RFI submittals, contractor payments, change orders, etc.) at an advanced level with oversight from more experienced staff.

**What We Prefer:**

+ Minimum 8 yrs Construction Industry Experience

+ Construction Manager-in-Training (CMIT), American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certifications or similar.

+ OSHA 10-hr certified.

+ Trained in digital construction management software such as Constructware, Asite, Autodesk Build, BIM360, or similar preferred
