Job Description

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Construction Scheduler to join our team of professionals in Dallas, TX.

  • Develops fundamental knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance. 
  • Develops familiarity with data sources for schedule development. 
  • Ability to identify and investigate project schedule variance.
  • Collects data and updates and produces scheduling reports. 
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of work breakdown structures (WBS).  
  • Develops familiarity with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting.
  • Possesses a fundamental understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.  Able to review and understand engineering, procurement and construction schedule logic 
  • Assists in assembling data for schedule updating.  
  • Assists in the measurement of project schedule progress
  • Develops knowledge of scope control, change management and earned value methodology.
  • Supports data gathering and produces an initial analysis for schedule baseline development and maintenance data gathering.
  • Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or similar curriculum and 4 years of construction scheduling experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • AEC Experience

Preferred Requirements:

 

  • P6 proficiency.
  • Prior experience as a construction scheduler for a large general contractor.
  • Experience with low voltage systems, building access/automation systems, telecom or AV.
  • Prior DFW Airport experience.
  • Datacenter experience.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
  • Construction interiors, retrofit, renovation, upgrade scheduling experience.

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • This position is not hybrid nor remote.
  • This position does not offer relocation.
  • This position is located at DFW airport, parking is provided.
  • In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite to enable access to secure portions of the facility for which you are being hired to perform services, you may be required to pass the client's security screening process, which will include, but may not be limited to, Homeland Security background check and fingerprinting. Should this be required it will be done after you have commenced employment, and your participation in that process and a pass rating by the client are both conditions of your continued employment by AECOM.
