Job Description - Construction Services Coordinator - Easton

We have an immediate opening for a full time Construction Services Coordinator at our office in Easton, Massachusetts. The Construction Services Coordinator (CSC) will support the Construction Services Manager (CSM) with coordination of project staff involved in construction materials testing projects. The work will include scheduling, project documentation and deliverable quality control. This is an office based position with occasional field work to include project site visits, client meetings and CMT assignments.



To thrive in this role you will need to be familiar with construction materials testing and commercial construction. You'll typically be working Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work based on project needs. You can expect some early mornings and late evenings with regular overtime during the construction season. Most days you will work at the office with occasional visits outside the office to visit construction sites to support our Technicians, to attend client meetings, and to attend industry events. You will often interact with people from other companies including construction and design professionals, owners and government officials. 



The responsibilities of the position include the following:




  • accurately record and review test results and observations.

  • review time records and billing to monitor time spent on projects.

  • communicate regularly with clients, the CSM in your office and our other offices, and technicians either by phone, text, chat, or email.

  • perform project set ups, and write and or/review project proposals.

  • troubleshoot issues with field reports, review test calculations, data results, and related project reports.

  • respond to client requests for projects by fielding questions and/or directing them to
    CSM.

  • assist the CSM and Laboratory Manager with prioritizing field and laboratory staff assignments to deliver results in a timely manner.

  • coordinate with CSM’s to review proposals, laboratory results, field reports and other deliverables.

  • review project billing to identify issues.

  • assist CSM and Laboratory Manager with maintenance of standards, laboratory accreditations, staff certifications, and equipment calibration records.

  • Review field and laboratory staff time sheets and expense reports.

  • Practice confidentiality according to company policy.



To perform this job you will need skills that include regularly utilizing a computer, smartphone and/or or tablet, using computer software for project management, scheduling, MS Office and Adobe Acrobat, basic math, the ability to read and interpret specifications and plans, communicating well (verbal and written), and attention to detail.
