Construction Site Supervisor

A leading construction and civil engineering firm in Malta is currently seeking a hands-on and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily site operations. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a solid background in site management who can ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site construction activities, ensuring work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

• Manage and direct subcontractors, tradespeople, and labourers.

• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, conducting site inspections and toolbox talks.

• Monitor project timelines and report on progress to project managers and senior stakeholders.

• Resolve day-to-day issues on site and liaise with engineers and architects for technical support.

• Ensure materials and equipment are available and used efficiently.

• Maintain site records including daily logs, attendance, deliveries, and progress reports.

• Coordinate site logistics and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in construction or civil engineering.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and site management procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project plans.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Fluent in English; Maltese is considered an asset.

• Relevant certifications in health and safety (e.g. CSCS or equivalent) are preferred.

• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

• Valid drivers license.
