Construction Tech I

CROSS TELEPHONE COMPANY IS IN SEARCH OF AN CONSTRUCTION TECH WITH EXPERIENCE IN  TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONSTRUCTION TO REPAIR, INSTALL AND MAINTAIN OUTSIDE PLANT TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES.

FULL-TIME POSITION with BENEFITS

LOCATION - WARNER, OKLAHOMA

Skills Required       

 ·         Knowledge of telecommunication outside plant construction

·         The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

·          One year of utility construction experience preferred

·         Ability to splice fiber

·         Valid drivers license, CDL license preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·         Assist in loading/unloading of equipment and supplies needed for daily work assignments, setting up worksite traffic and safety controls and properly securing work area.

·         Hand dig with shovels, picks, digging bars to expose located utilities, access underground vaults and pedestals, and complete trenches.

·         Operate mini-excavator, cable plow, jackhammers, pneumatic boring equipment, directional boring equipment, and powered augers.

·         Place conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduit sections (install couplers) as directed, place anchors, pedestals, vaults, etc.

·         Fully restore worksite at completion of the daily work, refill trenches and holes, and tamp soil.

·        Drive or operate construction equipment used on the job site to complete daily work assignments.

·         Performs preventative and routine maintenance. Clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment assigned for use.

·         Available for emergency assistance after hours and on weekends.

This position has no Supervisory Responsibilities
