Construction Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Construction Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a range of home repair tasks, including stucco, roofing, drywall repair, lath work, texturing, and framing. Responsibilities:

• General Repairs and Maintenance: Perform a variety of home repair and maintenance tasks, including stucco, roofing, drywall repair, lath work, texturing, and framing.


• Surface Preparation: Clean and prep surfaces, including removing old paint, debris, and irregularities to ensure proper adhesion for drywall repairs and painting.


• Finishing Work: Complete general finishing tasks, ensuring work is smooth, color-matched, well-blended, and pristine in appearance.


• Roof Leak Detection: Identify and trace sources of roof leaks and make permanent repairs.


• Materials and Equipment: Identify and procure necessary materials and equipment to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.


• Tool Usage: Use a variety of power tools and hand tools to perform work, ensuring site safety and compliance with regulations.


• Workmanship Standards: Maintain a high standard of workmanship, ensuring all work is completed to homeowner satisfaction and complies with all safety and building regulations.


• Worksite Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized worksite from start to finish.


• Blueprints and Work Instructions: Read and follow work instructions and blueprints to complete tasks accurately.


• Customer Satisfaction: Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining clear communication and ensuring high-quality results.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in roofing and drywall installation/repair.


• Roofing Expertise: Must be highly skilled in repairing various roofing systems, including composite shingles, flat roofs, concrete/clay tiles, metal roofs, and EPDM/TPO systems.


• Drywall Skills: Highly experienced in drywall installation and repairs, including lath work, texturing, and finishing.


• Leak Detection: Ability to trace and identify sources of roof leaks is a plus.


• Tools: Proficient in using a variety of power tools, hand tools, and assessing site conditions.


• Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
