Qualifications & Expertise

  • Industry Knowledge: Hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation is required, underground utility work, and broadband construction such as installation/trenching and operating heavy machinery.

  • Safety Oversight: Proven ability to commit to safety practices, keeping your colleagues and others safe on the job site.

  • Technical Proficiency: Work with teams on fiber optic network maintenance, DLC systems, fiber hubs, and power installations.

  • The "Ideal" Professional: You are someone who has a strong work ethic and always looking for the next task without being asked. You understand how your actions affect your team members and the public, communicate clearly and treat everyone with respect. You are a coachable person.

  • Credentials: High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license with a clean record is required. CDL required, ability to lift 50+ pounds and willingness to travel 1-2 weeks for out-of-town assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy Fiber Infrastructure: Assist in the installation of fiber optic cables through both underground trenching and aerial deployments.

  • Operate Heavy Machinery: Master the use of excavators, skid steers, drop plows, and directional drills to get the job done right.

  • Collaborate & Solve: Work seamlessly with your crew to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure every connection is rock-solid.

  • Manage Equipment: Take pride in your tools and trailers, ensuring they are safely towed, maintained, and ready for action.

  • Grow Your Skills: Gain hands-on experience in telecommunications—a rapidly evolving industry where we prioritize your professional development.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Salary: $20-25 per hour.

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week, with the flexibility to work 35 hours weekly upon approval to maintain work/life balance.

  • Travel: Frequent daily travel across our geographic footprint and overtime for emergency repairs is required.

Our Full Benefits Suite

  • Unmatched Healthcare: Medical/Dental/Vision for $0.50 per paycheck. (Yep, that’s right 50¢ per paycheck)

  • Retirement: 401(k) with a 6% company match.

  • Time Off: 10 paid holidays + generous PTO (14 days in Year 1).

  • Protection: Company-paid Life, AD&D, and Short-Term Disability insurance.

  • Growth: Personal & Professional Development Reimbursement.

  • Perks: Free high-speed internet (if within service footprint) and 3rd party financial management services.
