**Overview**
The position is in the Corporate Finance-Performance Improvement practice, which provides strategic, operational and financial advisory services to high-performing growth-oriented companies. The ideal candidate should excel working in a team environment, on a diverse range of fast-moving assignments, and in an entrepreneurial environment. BRG is currently seeking individuals for its Boston office.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
* Collaborate with Performance Improvement team and client personnel to achieve engagement objectives
* Utilize business, strategic, and analytical skills to perform tasks such as: financial modeling and analysis; operations and service strategy development, revenue growth; operational process and technology optimization; store labor planning and analysis; organizational design and competitive analysis.
* Develop content and lead the preparation of high quality, refined reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables
* Demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism, ethics, quality, and integrity
* Utilize a pragmatic and hands-on approach to the professional services arena

**Required Skills & Experience**:
* Experience in Retail Home Office, FP&A or Merchandise Planning and Analysis and/or previous Retail Consulting
* Experience with developing and managing financial and merchandising analysis as well as assisting to implement changes as result of analysis and observations
* Experience with improving inventory and financial performance utilizing systems, tools and bridge solutions
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelors degree or degree equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or related field. Masters degree or MBA, a plus
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with junior and senior team members, senior management and other stakeholders or professionals
* Expertise in financial modeling and analysis (particularly in Excel)
* Creative thinker with the ability to synthesize both qualitative (the art) and quantitative (the science) inputs
* Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills with demonstrated experience in solving complex issues
* Ability to manage and/or analyze large volumes of financial and operational data
* Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly
* High Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
* Weekly travel to clients is typical
* Minimum 2-3-years of experience within the retail or management consulting industries
