Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Chief Technical Architect for the Mission Data Management (MDM) Operating Unit (OU). The preferred location for this position is the Northrop Grumman Orlando, FL office; however, candidates will also be considered that are located at (or can relocate to) the Beavercreek, OH or Hollywood, MD offices. This position is the nexus of Business Development, Strategy, and Technology for the MDM OU, and includes the following responsibilities:\n\n * Managing Internal Research and Development (IRAD) efforts for the OU, to include IRAD proposals, planning, and oversight.\n * Leading cross organization technical collaboration on IRAD and captures (cross BU, Division, Sector).\n * Ensuring the technical vision and roadmap for the OU are aligned to Business Unit (BU), Division, and Sector technology interests and strategic objectives.\n * Ensuring that required processes and procedures are followed to ensure technical solutions across the OU meet quality standards.\n * Consulting or leading technical solutioning for capture efforts and participating in proposal development and reviews.\n * Ensuring appropriate collaboration between Chief Engineers across the OU and the programs that they represent.\n * Will be the primary technical focal point for the OU Engineering Lead and the OU Director.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * A bachelor\u2019s degree with a minimum of 16 years of experience \u2013 OR a master\u2019s degree with a minimum of 14 years of experience \u2013 OR a PhD with a minimum of 12 years of experience\n * Active DoD Secret or higher security clearance with ability to get TS/SCI clearance (U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite).\n * Experience as a Chief Engineer or Chief Architect for a large program or organization.\n * Experience leading or participating in the responses to 5+ proposal solicitations.\n * IRAD planning / execution experience.\n * Experience deploying solutions across multiple programs and encouraging cross-program knowledge sharing.\n * Demonstrated technical leadership skills, decisiveness, and ability to make sound technical judgments with limited information.\n * Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop relevant solutions.\n * Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with technical and business leadership.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Active TS/SCI Security Clearance\n * Advanced degree in STEM or technical management\n * Experience architecting solutions to meet DoD requirements.\n * Experience leading the responses to proposal solicitations, including architecture definition, BOE generation, and written volume creation.\n * Experience with program audits and subsequent responses.\n * Experience with BAAs and RFI responses.\n * Experience coordinating with external subcontractors and suppliers.\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $183,200.00 - $318,100.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
