Job Summary:

This role plays a pivotal part in assisting consumer loan officers with the processing of loan requests with a focus on direct loan applications.

Essential Job Duties:

• Performs all duties assigned to a level 1 Direct Loan Processor
• Contribute to departmental projects and meetings. 
• May act as a lead in smaller scale projects. 

General loan responsibilities:

• Conducting callbacks to members
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

HELOC Loan Responsibilities:

• Act as primary contact for member post-closing for inquiries, work with vendors on completion of recording with various counties.
• Schedule closing and fund closing.
• Process and review loan applications through the recording process.
• Document and file loan applications to secure the Credit Union’s collateral.
• Send completed recordings to Loan Services.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Familiar and comfortable with information technology, particularly digital means of communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  

Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of consumer loan products, regulations, and market trends
• Strong knowledge of compliance with federal and state lending regulations (e.g., Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Lending, Truth in Lending Act)
• Basic knowledge of HELCOC

Education and Experience:

• Minimum two years’ experience in consumer loan processing or other directly related experience
• Minimum high school diploma/GED or more than two year of related experience 

Physical Requirements: 

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
