Content Coordinator

FOX23 in Tulsa, Oklahoma is looking for a Content Coordinator. This person is a key part of the digital and assignment desk team as we are in some pretty exciting times in the newsroom. RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Contribute to digital content on all platforms 
• Confirm and cover breaking news, local news and statewide news 
• Schedule posts on website, social media platforms 
• Writes news stories in AP style for website and social platforms 
• Edits reporter stories for AP style for website and social platforms 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism (or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience 
• Ability to write and edit copy for website and other digital platforms  
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously 
• Team player who works well with others 
• Proficiency in using content management systems, social media platforms and other digital tools is a plus but not required 
• Knowledge of SEO Optimization is a plus but not required 
• Flexibility to work any shift.
