Web Content Editor/Maintainer
Hybrid: Washington DC Metro
We are seeking a highly skilled Content Editor/Maintainer to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience writing, editing, and maintaining content for public-facing websites, preferably in the government/federal arena.
Key Responsibilities
Provide copywriting and copyediting of website content
Provide proofreading reviews of content to ensure accuracy and adherence to style guidelines
Work with customers and team members to maintain, develop, validate, and upload content to websites
Work with graphic design and illustrative consultants to develop and maintain consistent site style and appearance
Produce a content planning timeline in coordination with customers and project teams
Develop detailed website maintenance instructions and FAQs
Assure delivery of content meets deadlines and other project requirements
Qualifications
Experience working with an editorial team responsible for delivery of digital content and with editorial workflow processes
Experience building and maintaining relationships with management and coworkers
Bachelor’s degree in information science, business, computer science, or finance is a plus
2+ years of experience working as an editor or content maintainer, preferably for a government/federal client
Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) and other editorial systems
