Job Overview

In the midst of disaster, this role puts homeowners at ease by treating their belongings as if they were your own: caring for what can be saved, and carefully tracking what can't so it's properly reimbursed. You'll handle, document, clean, and store customer property during fire, water, and other loss events, working on-site and in our contents vault.

What You'll Do

• Pack, protect, and transport customer belongings using proper wrapping and handling for fragile, sentimental, or high-value items

• Catalog items in Contents Track: description, brand, condition, damage

• Organize and maintain the contents vault: shelving layout, box placement, space management

• Track boxes and items in/out of vault storage with accurate check-in/check-out records

• Clean and process affected items (smoke, soot, water) and prepare them for proper storage

• Identify and document items beyond restoration for accurate reimbursement tracking

• Maintain accurate contents records to support the insurance claims process

• Communicate item condition and job progress to project leads and office staff

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

• Attention to detail, especially when handling and documenting large volumes of items

• Strong organizational skills & the ability to keep track of items across multiple jobs

• Comfortable working in customer properties during high-stress/emotional situations

• Technology and software comfort

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in contents handling, restoration, moving, logistics, or warehouse inventory

• Familiarity with Contents Track, Xactimate, or similar restoration/contents software

• Prior leadership, team-lead, or supervisory experience in any industry
