Contents Cleaning Technicians at 1-800-Packouts are the heart of our business.  A Contents Cleaning Technician is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and preserving personal belongings affected by damage such as fire, water, mold, or other environmental factors. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of cleaning techniques, and the ability to handle delicate and sentimental items with care. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and document the condition of personal items before restoration.
• Clean and restore furniture, clothing, electronics, and other household items using specialized techniques.
• Use appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment to remove contaminants such as smoke, mold, or water damage.
• Pack and transport items safely to and from restoration facilities when necessary.
• Work closely with homeowners to ensure their belongings are restored to the best possible condition.
• Maintain accurate records of restored items and communicate progress with clients.
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards for handling damaged materials.

Requirements

• Experience in cleaning, restoration, or a related field preferred but not necessary.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques for various materials (wood, fabric, electronics, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle fragile items with care.
• Excellent communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt.
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
• Arrive on time and ready to work.
• Pass a background check.
• Pass a drug test.
