Continuous Improvement Coordinator - Exciting Challenge

A manufacturer in the South Hackensack, NJ area has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement to join their team.  Bilingual Spanish is a requirement.

In this role you will support, lead, and execute LEAN/Continuous Improvement initiatives that drive measurable productivity gains, cost reduction, revenue generation, service improvements and improved safety/quality for the business through the use primarily of LEAN methodology.

Responsibilities:

• Participate and/or facilitate in Lean, Six Sigma projects that deliver measurable productivity improvements, cost reduction impacts, KPI improvements
• Perform Lean audits like 5S, Gemba/Waste walks to assess baseline, progress and improvement opportunities.
• Lead continuous improvement events and coordinate projects agenda and updates.
• Coordinate Lean, Six Sigma Training programs within the site.
• Assist in Visual Management/5S implementation across plant floor and office areas to communicate status of Lean, Six Sigma Improvement projects.
• Monitor improvement projects from start to completion, support as needed.

Ideal qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent program.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office tool suite.
• Knowledge in Lean and Six Sigma philosophy, terminology and tools application is a plus.
• Willingness to spend time on the factory floor performing hands-on LEAN implementation.
