Job Description - Continuous Improvement Production Supervisor

Position Responsibilities

Assists in the leadership of a manufacturing facility focused on delivering world class sustainable performanceUses Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies as applicable to identify opportunities for improvement of the overall operations of a fast-paced production facility.Trains and guides personnel on a daily basis by observing and working in the field with direct reports to lead by example.Ensures safety, health and environmental compliance.Directly supervises, motivates and evaluates site leadership team who are responsible for operations involving food production and packaging activities, materials, and warehousing.Provides guidance to site leadership team for continuous improvement initiatives.Provides adequate support, training and development of plant staff.Tracks and reports data for manufacturing cost controls, cost estimates, capacity plan, manpower and facility requirements.Monitors manufacturing and financial performance and implements corrective action planning when needed in order to meet company objectives.Implements Food Safety Quality Control functions to meet the Companys Quality System requirements.Develops and builds capability of plant personnel, including support of performance and talent management activities.

Work Experience Requirements

Professional Experience

8+ years total professional operations leadership experience with progressive responsibility and growth.Food or Similar Industry Experience

Food, beverage, pharmaceutical or CPG industry experience in a complex manufacturing environment preferred or a combination of food manufacturing with manufacturing experience in other similar industries preferred.Continuous Improvement

Demonstrated track record of understanding and applying continuous improvement principles and practices including Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and/or Six Sigma.Quality

Ideal candidate must have had a track record of responsibility for managing to high-quality standards including GFSI in Food Industry or ISO in non-food industry.

Ability to be a comfortable and open communicator including proactively sharing information, bringing issues/ concerns to the table early and collaboratively working through solutions. Candidate will also demonstrate level of comfort

Education Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Related Discipline.Masters or MBA preferred.by Jobble
