MMA SW Insurance Carrier (Business Insurance and Private Client Services) Contract Manager

Job Summary

The MMA SW Insurance Carrier Insurance Contract Manager is responsible for the management of all insurance carrier contracts and will be responsible for managing a team of carrier contract coordinators. The leader will provide direction and strategic oversight on carrier codes, downloads, banking information, and acquisition onboarding of new carriers as well as working with the carriers directly to ensure the process runs smoothly.

This role will provide coordination, management, organization, and communication of carrier contracting activities for our regional Business Insurance and Private Client Services departments. Maintain Business Insurance and Private Client Services carrier agreements, and addendums, and respond to required carrier agency profile notifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned:
Partner with Placement, Operations, and Line of Business leaders to ensure that we have a streamlined approach and strategy to carrier contracting.
Oversee carrier contracting coordinator team.
Maintain carrier contract database.
Communicate carrier contracting updates to business leaders by line of business.
Manage regional strategy on carrier logins.
Facilitate the process of contract documents from pre-contract through post-contract signature phases.
Coordinate and support contract preparation and administration including new agreements, amendments, licenses, memorandums of understanding, and other contract arrangements.
Review and update existing contract agency profiles as needed. Ensure carrier Agency Profile is current and if necessary, initiate corrective action.
Serve as Business Insurance and Private Client Services department liaison to Legal Team for carrier agreement legal review/approval.
Collaborate on acquisition transitions to establish required agreements and amendments.
Receive, file, and disseminate information provided by carriers to responsible parties.
Recommend process improvements to benefit the contracting function.
All other duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies:
Proficient computer skills with keen attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities, synthesizing complex or diverse information with the ability to create and implement solutions.
Organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Results-driven, able to self-direct and work independently showing initiative, while seeking guidance when appropriate.
Familiarity with industry business operations and understanding of industry legal and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with Office 365 including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
Familiarity with Smartsheet

Qualifications: Previous Business Insurance and Private Client Service Contract Experience.

An individual should be able to interact professionally and ethically with the company's business partners; handle multiple tasks simultaneously; provide clear, concise oral and written directives/communications; quickly assess situations and respond appropriately; handle special requests in a sensitive, professional manner. Strong attention to detail and follow-through required.

Work Environment:

Work is sedentary, with frequent wrist and finger manipulation due to high concentration of filing, compiling, or computer work. Work interruptions are frequent. There is some pressure associated with project or activity deadlines and details. Travel to attend meetings may be required as needed. Equipment used may include but is not limited to, a computer, telephone, copier, and scanner.
