Contract Beautician

We are looking for a Beautician to take care of our residents' haircuts and styles.  If you’re able to identify residents’ needs and help them feel good about themselves, we’d like to meet you.

• Shampoos and styles hair for residents with diverse ethnic backgrounds by setting, blow-drying, cutting, trimming and/or braiding; may perform beauty services such as applying solutions that straighten hair or retains curl or wave in hair; may provide color rinses and permanent hair coloring.
• Performs services in the      beauty/barber shop and on nursing units and in beds for residents unable      to be taken to the beauty/barber shop.
• Maintains the beauty/barber shop and equipment in a sanitary, neat and orderly manner.
• Orders supply and maintain inventory of products in the beauty/barber shop.
• Adheres to confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data; HIPAA regulations; Quality Assurance requirements and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Immediately reports incidents of alleged resident abuse or neglect or alleged violations of residents' rights to Supervisor or Executive Director.
• Maintains current practice standards or changes by participating in educational opportunities provided by the Facility and outside resources.
• Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.

 Must maintain a current license/certification, according to State law. One year of experience as a beautician/barber, preferably in a long-term care facility, working with diverse clientele. License/Certification:
